Fresh Wave is an innovative formula that truly eliminates odors, instead of masking them.

We work differently than traditional air fresheners, and we make our products with safer ingredients. No synthetic fragrance, no “covering up” odors with harsh chemicals.

Instead, Fresh Wave uses a blend of plant oils to find and neutralize odor molecules, in the air and on surfaces. We use this formula to create our sprays, gels, candles, dog shampoo, laundry boosters, and more, so you can have fresh air everywhere. 

Fresh Wave uses a combination of nature and science to eliminate odors. The science works like this: 

All odors are chemical compounds.

Fresh Wave products break apart the chemical bonds between odor molecules and make new compounds. 

These new molecules don't have a smell (odors gone!) 

The simple part is knowing you're using a safe, natural odor remover that's been tested by experts and proven effective by users. 

We use simple, pure, and natural ingredients: water, food grade surfactant, and a proprietary blend of natural plant oils including lime, pine needle, anise, clove, and cedarwood, among others. (See the full list of ingredients.) But what will really make you smile is what's not in Fresh Wave. None of our products have any harsh chemicals, synthetic fragrances, or alcohol, and they're 100% phthalate-free. What's more, two of our products (Fresh Wave Spray and Fresh Wave Gel) have even been recognized by the EPA as Safer Choice products for using more health-conscious, earth-friendly ingredients.

Yes! We make our odor removers with plants, not perfume, so you’ll only smell the natural plant oils when you first open our products. Unlike scented air fresheners our products don’t have any added fragrance or harsh chemicals that can be harmful to inhale. Our Original blend has woodsy, citrusy notes from lime, pine needle, anise, clove, and cedarwood oils. Lavender products have the soothing addition of lavender oil, and Lemon uses lemon oil for an extra burst of citrus. Once Fresh Wave starts eliminating odors in the air and on surfaces, the scent dissipates. You’re left with the feeling of clean, fresh air and without the chemicals from traditional air fresheners.

Some users describe the smell of our original blend as "earthy" or "natural" with hints of pine, citrus, and wood. Fresh Wave Lavender includes lasting lavender oil essence.

Fresh Wave works to neutralize all smells. The scent from the natural plant oils may be noticeable at first, but the smell dissipates as odors are absorbed. When you smell fresh air, you'll know Fresh Wave is working!

Fresh Wave is a natural product, safe to use near people and pets. None of our products have any harsh chemicals, synthetic fragrances, or alcohol, and they're 100% phthalate-free. Fresh Wave Original Spray and Gel have been recognized by the EPA as Safer Choice products. 

However, we do not recommend spraying directly on pets or people. Also, keep products out of the reach of kids and animals.

Packs: Stash in small spaces or partner with Fresh Pod for continuous odor neutralization 

Dog Shampoo: Scrub your pup to get rid of wet dog smell or even wash away skunk spray odors 

Vacuum Beads: Put in bagless vacuums to keep away exhaust smells 

Fortunately for man's best friend, the answer is "yes." If your curious pet has been sprayed, then you know how awful that smell is... and how difficult it is to remove. Thankfully, Fresh Wave products work like a charm to get rid of skunk smells safely.

Only if there is no food in it. A lot of your sense of taste comes from your sense of smell—so if we remove smells from your refrigerated food, we'd affect its taste, too.

Even though our sprays are made with plant-based, safer ingredients, we don't recommend spraying them directly onto people or pets. For skunked pups, we recommend Fresh Wave Dog Shampoo. Its plant-based formula is tough on odors and gentle on your pet.

Fresh Wave products are water-based, and all the plant oils we use are diluted and safe for regular exposure by pets and people. However, we do recommend keeping Fresh Wave out of direct reach of pets to avoid misuse. Some pets like birds are particularly sensitive to plant oils, so we recommend checking with your veterinarian first if you have any concerns.

Yes! All of our products are made using natural ingredients, so Fresh Wave is great to use on even the gentlest fabrics. We have a whole page dedicated to our ingredients if you'd like to learn more.

For smoke odor elimination, we recommend either our Gels or our Sprays. Gel will work to continually remove lingering odors, while Spray will instantly target any persistent smells stench. In a designated lounge or smoking room, lighting a Candle can help eliminate odors from cigarettes or cigars.

Fresh Wave Packs continually eliminate odors in small spaces for up to 30 days. When you're finished with the Fresh Wave Packs, you can recycle them.

Absolutely! When the candle is done clearing odors in the air, you can easily upcycle it into a container or decorative container. If you’d like to recycle it, check with your local recycling provider to make sure they take glass, especially frosted glass.

Trigger Sprays: 

First, make sure the lock mechanism—the button at the base of the trigger sprayer—is pressed in the unlock position. Once the spray bottle is unlocked, you can press the trigger to    

BOV Sprays: 

Shake the bottle. Twist head to unlock. Push down button for non-stop spray. Don’t let up until the odor is totally gone.

When we ship our products out to places experiencing cold temperatures, we include heat packs in our packages to ensure that your products don’t freeze in transit. The Heat Packs by Uniheat are eco-friendly and their contents are biodegradable.  

In orders containing liquid products (like our Sprays and Laundry Boosters), a heat pack will be placed in a little brown paper bag and added to your package. 

These heat packs typically last up to 72 hours and can then be disposed. Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or concerns.
